ENJOY YOUR TIME IN FLORIDA & THE GREATER ORLANDO AREA

- golf (there are about 250 golf courses in central Florida, with over 100 of them within 30 minutes' drive of downtown Orlando). Our recommendation is the Highlands Reserve Golf & Country Club, south on US27, about 5 minutes’ drive from Bahama Bay Resort

There are many other attractions worth a visit, although too many to list here: a few at the top of our personal list would be:-
- the Kennedy Space Center
- the "model" town of Celebration & the 1950s revisited nearby at Old Town on the US 192
- swimming with the dolphins at Discovery Cove
- Aiguille Rock Climbing Center
- hot air ballooning, heli-tours, indoor skydiving at i-Fly (or for the more adventurous, a real-life tandem skydive at Deland, Zephyr Hills or Skydive Space Center in Titusville!)

You can also find a host of other eating places, from the familiar burger chains & pizza houses, to Black Angus Steakhouse, Ponderosa, or Red Lobster seafood, and various ethnic restaurants. One of our recommendations is Manny’s Chophouse, about 20 minutes’ drive south from Bahama Bay resort, on the US 27 at Haines City – worth the drive (you don’t need to book in advance, but we suggest you ring ahead to get on their daily reservation list, it’s very popular!)
As for shopping, there is a wealth of places to visit, mainly in the International Drive area ("I-Drive"). Examples include:-
